Immediately following lunch on February 2nd, the mehndi ceremony began in the same second-floor hall where the morning's Nischayathartham took place.
To maintain the hall's cleanliness, the BAPS management requested that the mehndi application be confined to a small area. This precaution was taken to prevent dry mehndi from falling onto the carpet and floor, which would require extensive cleaning and delay the start of the subsequent program. For those not interested in mehndi, carrom boards were set up. Guests from both families enthusiastically participated in the games.
The mehndi program exceeded expectations, attracting a large number of women and even a few men. Sanjiv and Priya's families were delighted by the widespread participation. However, this popularity meant the program, initially scheduled to conclude by 5:00 PM, was extended due to the increased number of participants.
The hall decoration for the Sangit program, set to begin at 6:30 PM, was planned to start at 5:00 PM.Ultimately, by 5:30 PM, the mehndi artists relocated to an alternative space in the lobby outside the hall to accommodate all remaining guests who wished to have mehndi applied.
